Miniature of a wedding album

"From the couple who hate photographers and having their photos taken to the photographer who had to put up with a stroppy bride - We were absolutely thrilled with the photos you took of our day, the mix of formal and reportage created a perfect record and we couldn't have asked for anything better - it was almost painless. Our only problem was selecting the pictures we were going to keep from the number you took - even so we got exactly what we wanted within our budget and the price you quoted. Once again many thanks and we would recommend you to anybody else."

Packages and Prices

Prior to the wedding

Working together, we would meet prior to the wedding, possibly at the venue(s). This enables us to discuss the best places to take the photographs.

I will ask you to draw up a list of ‘must have’ photographs with the names of the people to be featured. This is used on the day by my assistant as a checklist and the basis of your portfolio. You might also want to consider tearing pages from magazines to act as a reference for style and mood as this is an easy way to say, “this is the look that I’m after”.

Setting a budget

Setting a budget for wedding photography can be difficult, not least of all because you probably will have never done it before. So when you are shopping around find out just what is included!

For me, the price is based upon the finished album and that covers my time before, during and after the wedding plus my assistant and all materials used. The only additional cost would for travelling outside of Derbyshire or South Yorkshire. (Some photographers will charge by the hour).

The different factors that will dictate the final cost of an album from Celebration are the type of album you go for.

  • Traditional photograph album or printed book
  • The number of pages
  • The number of photographs
  • The maximum size of the photographs

Albums / books do vary in style and cost and range from around £750 to £1,500 in 2007 for 2008 add around 10% and 2009 around 20% on today’s prices.

A traditional style photo album with print sizes ranging from 4 x 5 inches up to 10 x 8 inches could cost in the region of £850 and this would be for a quality leather bound album which may well, run to over 30 pages and may contain up to 60 images subject to design.

The modern style wedding books start at £950 for a 30 page 11” x 14” leather bound book where the images are printed directly onto the page. This package is also available with miniature versions of the book called keepsakes, which are ideal presents for family and friends.

Smaller and larger sizes are available upon request. Ultimately, the choice is yours, so if you have something in mind then please do ask, as this page is only here as a guide.

After the wedding, the images are posted onto the web site for viewing. This enables you and the wedding party to choose their favourite shots of the day. I produce a computer design of how the finished wedding album will look page by page in order for you to make any final amendments prior to going to print. (See examples at top of page)

Making a booking / Terms of payment

First, check that your date is free by emailing with your details and then we will send you our terms and conditions. These need to be signed and returned with a non-refundable deposit of approximately one third of the agreed budget or a minimum of £200. This secures the day, as Celebration will only undertake one wedding per day. The balance of payment is required in full three weeks before the wedding date.
